An Author’s Update

It’s that time of year again… spooky time! As I get ready for a great night with friends, I have a couple of issues to address.

Some people have been trying to reach me on Facebook, but my account was hacked and then suspended. I’ve reached out to Meta and hopefully they’ll resolve the issue. I am alive and can be reached here or on Instagram.

Next, hubby got very very ill this month and was in the ICU for over a week, which made me start going grey with nerves. Erp. He’s out now and on the mend, so thanks to all of those who sent well-wishes and prayers. He’ll be okay. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

In short, Jacob’s launch has been pushed back by a bit due to how insanely busy I’ve been this October. I promise to get some new content up to keep the momentum going come November, so I ask for your patience and continued support!

Spotlight: Our Hero

A ginger for justice. He travels the world at his Agency’s whim, solving various crises with his reliance on shadow magic and a good dosage of Catholic school training. Half American, half English, Jacob Tennyson Orange is an unpredictable but capable agent to deal with.

Spotlight: Fang Baorui

An American raised by a Chinese amah, no one knows his real name or age. He shares a sullied past with Jacob, the two having met along the Seine and frequently imbibing the local wines. Is he a leader or a traitor? Perhaps only he knows what the Progenitor Machine is…

Spotlight: Doria Rozenfeld

A young American field operative at Jacob’s agency. After a traumatic experience that left her eyes jaundiced, she believes she can see the dead and wears dowdy robes. Jacob thinks she’s faking it.

Spotlight: Hats Munroe

Hailing from Cape Town, Dr. Munroe is the head of the London branch of Jacob’s agency and his immediate boss. Munroe is a gifted mage that has been known to launch lightning bolts at those he finds incompetent.

Spotlight: McDonnaugh

Jacob’s faithful driver through the harried streets of London. He and Jacob once had a game of alcoholic darts and they both ended up in the hospital, getting their stomachs pumped.

Spotlight: Maya Tsudo

Jacob’s sense of dread incarnate: a newbie teleporter. Tsudo transferred from the Tokyo branch of the Agency to assist with London’s newly-installed teleport ops, but she still leaves Jacob with a sick feeling in his stomach every time he sees her nervous smile. She also smells of takoyaki and Kewpie mayo.

Spotlight: Wells Jenkin

Unfortunately referred to as a ‘sheep-shagger’ by Jacob, Wells Jenkin is very determined to prove his craft and devotion to the Agency by delivering a special package.

Spotlight: Piotr Lebedev

Standing at an alarming 6’5″, this Russian hulk makes short work of Jacob’s jabs, despite his flirtations. He specializes in cryptology and magic ciphers, and lends his services to the Agency on a case-by-case basis. Jacob thinks his office is just too clean.

Spotlight: Victoria Davidson

Sure, she looks every part an English Rose and presents very nicely with her degrees from Cambridge, but don’t let her appearance fool you. She may speak like a BBC reporter, but her office is jam-packed full of anime goods and Victoria does some mean magecraft with a Napa cabbage. She also holds a grudge toward Jacob for vomiting on her heels.
